北井画廊では1998年の設立当初から墨を使った作品に着目し、さまざまな表現スタイルの墨のアーティストの作品を取り扱う中で、2011年からは「墨イズム」と称して展覧会で紹介してきました。第8回目となる今回は、書をベースに作品を展開している5名の作家の作品を展示いたします。

Since its establishment in 1998, Gallery KITAI has been focusing on artworks created using Sumi-ink, showcasing pieces from various Sumi-ink artists with different expressive styles. Starting in 2011, we have been featuring these artworks in exhibitions under the banner of “SUMI_ISM.” For our 8th installment, we are delighted to present works from five artists who base their creations on calligraphy.
