北井画廊では、小山みづほの個展を開催いたします。
時代を超えて読み継がれてきた詩や物語を読み込み、小山自身の感覚と解釈を通して再構築し、独自の視覚言語へと変換した作品を展開しています。本展では、代表作のひとつである、13世紀ペルシャの詩人ルーミーの詩「Guest House」を掛け軸として仕立てた《Visitor》をはじめ、『源氏物語』を作品化したシリーズの一部、さらにコラージュ作品やアッサンブラージュによるボックス作品など、全11点を展示いたします。古典文学や物語に刻まれた言葉を、文字、線、素材、空間へと変換し、新たな視覚表現として立ち上げる小山みづほの世界を、ぜひご覧ください。

Gallery KITAI is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Mizuho Koyama. Koyama delves deeply into poems and stories that have been read and passed down across generations, reinterpreting and reconstructing them through her own sensibility and perspective, and transforming them into her distinctive visual language. The exhibition will feature 11 works, including Visitor, one of her representative works, in which a poem by the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi, Guest House, is presented in the form of a traditional Japanese hanging scroll. The exhibition also includes part of a series based on The Tale of Genji, as well as collage works and a series of assemblage box works. Through transforming words and stories from classical literature into characters, lines, materials, and space, Koyama creates a new visual language that moves between literature and contemporary art.
